I still remember the late nights scrolling through review after review, trying to find one honest answer to a simple question: what actually works for my skin?
Every website I found had its own story to tell. Glowing testimonials on one page, a flood of complaints on the next. A product praised online would show up on another site at triple the price, wrapped in claims no one could verify.
My cousins were going through the exact same thing. They would recommend a product that changed their skin for the better, I would try it with hope in my hands, and it would do nothing for mine. Sometimes it made things worse.
It was not that we were doing anything wrong. It was that skin is not the same for everyone, and the market selling to us rarely admitted that.
WHERE HER STORE WAS BORN
Built From a Need We Lived Ourselves
At the time, I was pursuing my Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology, learning the science behind what our skin truly needs while living the same frustration as everyone else trying to find real skincare answers in Sri Lanka.
That contrast is what pushed me to act.
I did not want to build just another store selling whatever was trending. I wanted to build the resource I wish I had — a place where Sri Lankan women could find products chosen with real knowledge, sold honestly, and priced fairly.
That is how Her Store came to be. Not from a business plan, but from a need I lived through myself.

She is currently pursuing her Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology and brings that same care and knowledge into every product Her Store offers.
